Who we are. Purple Iris Media LLC (“Purple Iris Media”, “we”, “us”) operates purpleirismedia.digital (the “Site”). We are the controller of Personal Information processed via the Site.

Scope. This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect Personal Information when you visit the Site, contact us, or subscribe to emails.

1) Information we collect & sources

  • Identifiers / Contact data (e.g., name, email; optional phone/address) — you provide in forms.

  • Device & usage data (IP address and general location from IP, browser/OS, pages visited, referrer, timestamps, cookie IDs, pixels) — collected automatically.

  • Communications (messages you send us).

  • Affiliate interactions (click-through and purchase attribution via affiliate networks).
    We do not request sensitive data. If you include sensitive details in a message, we process them only to respond and then minimize/delete.

2) Why we use your information (purposes & legal bases)

  • Provide & improve the Site; respond to messages; send email updates you request.

  • Security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting; aggregated analytics to understand content performance.

  • Compliance with legal obligations and enforcement of terms.
    GDPR/UK GDPR bases: contract (when you request something from us), consent (email marketing/cookies), legitimate interests (security/analytics with safeguards).

3) Cookies, analytics & consent

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics (Google Analytics), and affiliate attribution.
We use Complianz (cookie consent) with a floating “Manage consent” tab (bottom-right) so you can Accept, Deny, or View Preferences at any time. Until additional categories are enabled, cookies are limited to essential and measurement. You can also manage cookies in your browser settings.

4) Disclosures/recipients

We disclose Personal Information to:

  • Service providers / processors under contracts that limit use to our instructions:

    • Hostinger (hosting & email)

    • Google (Google Analytics)

    • Affiliate platforms: to be determined; will be added when selected

  • Legal/safety recipients when required by law or to protect rights.
    We do not sell Personal Information. We also do not “share” Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. If that changes (e.g., we enable ad/retargeting cookies), we will update this Policy and add a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” option.

5) Retention

We keep Personal Information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it. Typical periods:

  • Contact emails/forms: up to 24 months

  • Email subscription records: until you unsubscribe + up to 24 months (compliance)

  • Analytics events: 14–26 months (provider settings)

6) Your rights

EEA/UK residents — rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and data portability, plus choices regarding automated decision-making.
US residents (CA, CO, CT, VA, UT) — rights to know/access, delete, correct, portability, and opt-out of targeted advertising (“sharing”) and sale. You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising rights.

Appeal process (CO/VA/CT): If we deny your request, reply “Appeal” to our decision; we will respond with our final determination and how to contact your Attorney General.

7) International transfers

If we transfer Personal Information outside your country (e.g., to the United States), we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, plus technical and organizational measures.

8) Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from them. If you believe a child provided Personal Information, contact us and we will delete it.

9) Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the risk. No system is 100% secure.

10) Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the Effective Date above and post the new version here.
