Trust & Transparency: Our Commitment to You
Our commitment is simple:
Every guide we publish is built on credible research, ethical writing, and transparent review. Our goal is simple—to help you make informed wellness choices with calm confidence, not pressure or hype.
Simplifying conflicting wellness information is part of why this project exists. That experience shaped our promise here at Purple Iris Media: to share evidence-informed guidance you can trust, written the same way we’d explain it to a trusted friend.
Behind every article is a clear editorial process designed to keep information accurate, balanced, and genuinely useful. In the sections that follow, we’ll walk you through how each piece of content is researched, reviewed, and validated before it reaches you.
Evidence First: Our Guiding Principle
Every guide we publish begins with a simple rule: evidence comes first. Wellness shouldn’t rely on opinions or trends—it should rest on what research actually shows.
Our process starts by examining high-authority scientific sources. We draw from peer-reviewed studies, meta-analyses, and established clinical guidelines published by trusted institutions such as: PubMed, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH), the World Health Organization (WHO), and respected medical centers like Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic.
Once the research foundation is in place, we organize it into clear, reader-friendly language. Before anything goes live, each article is checked for three things:
Independent Expert Review
Some topics deserve an even higher level of scrutiny.
For cornerstone guides—like the comprehensive Ashwagandha Review—we take an additional step to ensure accuracy and trust.
Before publication, we commission an independent subject-matter expert — a researcher, PhD, or clinician — to perform a final review of the evidence. The Ashwagandha hub article, for example, was independently reviewed by a PhD-level registered dietitian nutritionist prior to publication. These reviewers evaluate each guide using a structured checklist that covers three essentials:
Scientific accuracy – Does the data genuinely support the claims?
Source quality – Are the cited studies credible and free from bias?
Ethical presentation – Is the information balanced and responsibly worded?
Only after this external review is complete does the article receive the Expert Reviewed badge.
External reviewers are acknowledged directly on qualifying hub pages, so readers can see when an independent professional has validated the work they’re reading.
Review Levels & Badges
Transparency matters just as much as accuracy.
That’s why every guide on Purple Iris Media carries a badge that tells you exactly how it was reviewed before publication. These visual markers make it easy to see, at a glance, the level of verification behind what you’re reading.
- EXPERT REVIEWED
Our highest verification level.
This badge means the guide has been independently reviewed by a qualified expert—usually a researcher, PhD, or clinician—who has validated the accuracy and balance of the final content.
You’ll often see it paired with the LIVE badge on cornerstone guides that have completed both internal and external review.
- EVIDENCE-INFORMED
The foundational standard for all content on this site.
It signals that the article is built on peer-reviewed research and has passed our structured internal review for accuracy, clarity, and fairness.
Most of our spoke-level guides carry this badge alongside LIVE to indicate evidence-based quality.
- UPDATED
Indicates the guide has been reviewed or fact-checked within the last 60 days.
You’ll usually see it next to LIVE to show that the article reflects the most current understanding available.
- IN DEVELOPMENT
Marks guides that are actively being researched or drafted.
You’ll see this badge on Resource cards or placeholders for guides currently in preparation.
- COMING SOON
Used for topics that are planned but not yet drafted or under review.
It tells you that a guide is scheduled and will appear once the research and internal review process begins.
How Experts Are Selected
To earn the Expert Reviewed badge, a guide must first pass through an independent evaluation by a qualified professional. Every reviewer who participates is carefully vetted to ensure their expertise and objectivity.
Each expert must meet three core standards:
Demonstrable Expertise
They hold relevant academic or clinical credentials—such as an MD, PhD, or RD—and possess a proven track record in their area of study.Commitment to Objectivity
They share our dedication to evidence-based practice and must be free from commercial bias or affiliation with unverified wellness trends. No Conflicts of Interest
They have no financial or professional ties to any product, brand, or topic discussed within the guide.
This process ensures that when you see the Expert Reviewed badge, you’re reading content that’s been validated by a professional who meets the highest standards of independence and integrity.
Continuous Improvement
Our commitment to accuracy doesn’t end when an article is published. Wellness research continues to evolve, and so does our approach to reviewing it. We continuously re-evaluate every guide on Purple Iris Media to ensure that the information remains current, balanced, and supported by the latest credible evidence.
When new studies or clinical reviews become available, we revisit each guide—verifying claims, updating citations, and refining language where needed. If the changes are substantial, the article is clearly marked with the Updated badge so you always know when a guide reflects the most recent understanding.
This process of continuous improvement is more than routine maintenance; it’s part of our ongoing responsibility to earn and keep your trust.
As the library grows, we’ll keep expanding the review network and refining the editorial system that supports every piece of content you read here.
